Our approach
We use ultra-modern hairdressing techniques, equipment and products to ensure we achieve the best possible results for your hair. This includes the most advanced repair treatments on the market, such as K18. Our aim will always be to create beautiful hair through the skills of our highly trained and experienced stylists.
We don’t use round brushes to blowdry your hair. This is to ensure that we can check your haircut accurately – it also means that you can more easily recreate your new look at home. We don’t use thinning scissors either, due to the damage they can cause to the hair shaft. We minimise the use of clippers too, and instead use the more precise and longer-lasting ‘scissor over comb’ technique.

We want all of our clients to have the best possible experience in the salon so that you can relax and enjoy an energising time with us.
Giving yourself enough time
Our purpose is to give each of our clients a memorable experience whilst designing beautiful hair, and we set aside time to do this without rush. To make the most of your visit we ask that you arrive five minutes before your appointment. However, we understand that sometimes things happen that cause delays; that’s why we have a 15-minute cut-off time for all appointments. If you are running late, please contact us so that we can let your Hair Designer know.
Skin tests for colour
We believe in fully looking after our clients’ wellbeing while they are with us, so we always insist on a skin test 48 hours before any colour is applied. Even if you have had lots of colour in the past, formulas change, and so do you. A skin test will make sure that your colour treatment with us is both beautiful and safe for you – a great combination…
Cancelling or moving your appointment
We will always try our best to accommodate any changes to appointments. However, all appointments cancelled within less than 24 hours may be subject to a 50% cancellation charge.
Getting the future appointment you want
To get what suits you best, you can book your next one, two or even three appointments before you leave the salon. If you need an almost immediate appointment we have a reserve list which we review each day and we will do our best to accommodate you.
If you are not happy with your cut/colour
At Melissa Timperley hair salon we expect all our clients to be happy with their new hair style and colour. If you feel that the service agreed has not been fully achieved, we need to know as soon as possible (within 7 days) so we can help to resolve your concerns straight away.
